Rangers is a brilliant way to try new things, have fun and give something back to the community. Girlguiding gives Rangers a host of opportunities to gain leadership skills, build a network of friends in their local area and enhance their CV.

Rangers follow our programme of interest badges and skills builders by taking part in amazing challenges, travel the world and develop skills across our six Themes. For a full breakdown of all six themes, visit the Girlguiding website here.  

There is a vast array of awards and qualifications available to Rangers. These range from our Leadership qualification, which teaches adults how to run a unit, the internationally recognised Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and our highest award – the Queen’s Guide Award.  These are in additional to our Theme and the Ranger Gold awards.

Rangers can become a peer educator and support girls and young women on the issues they face, like body confidence and mental health and well-being. They can also raise their voice by joining our delegation at the British Youth Council, or shape Girlguiding’s own policy and research as part of our fantastic Advocate panel. 

From working on a development project in a remote village, to representing UK guiding at an international conference, Rangers can travel the world and take part in some life-changing international adventures.

Rangers is all about taking the lead and finding new challenges.
