“I have been in Guiding for a relatively short time (only 7 years) but have a background of a variety of outdoor activities including walking, sailing, canoeing, climbing and jet skiing.

I also love crafting and am a firm believer that  combining traditionally indoor activities in an outdoor setting is a fun challenge.

I am part of Sue Wheelwright’s Adventure Team and like her I believe that volunteers who have fun are more fulfilled and this then shows in unit sizes.

Going Outdoors shouldn’t scary and doesn’t need to be BIG. I am happy to advise on walking activities whether that be in the local park combined with a origami activity, a scavenger hunt in the Wolds or a longer hike on challenging terrain with difficult navigation. I would love leaders to know that our Adventure Team has fun  by helping them take their units outdoors at whatever level they are happy with.”
