A little background information…

I’m a Guide and Ranger leader in Waddington. I opened a Rainbow unit as part of my Queen’s Guide Award, and have been taking on new roles ever since, having led all four sections over the years.

Why did you take on this role?

In my current unit, lots of Rangers are doing their Duke of Edinburgh and Queen’s Guide Awards and I’m especially passionate about making sure these opportunities are accessible for all girls regardless of need, so Youth Awards Adviser fits perfectly with this ethos.

Tell us your favourite Guiding memory…

My favourite guiding memories are taking girls abroad. From planning through to leading international events, using my languages and enabling them to experience new and exciting locations and cultures. KISC  is high up on my list of favourite places in the world and I have many untold happy memories there.
